Houston Boychoir Tour Choir is in Uruguay and Argentina for Summer Tour Music Without Borders. We have always made a point of sharing with other groups both at home with Sing4Life Concert exchanges in February or March and on the road where ever we go, but this is a great opportunity for our boys to learn and grow.
Who is SODRE ?
Headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, SODRE — Servicio Oficial de Difusión, Representaciones y Espectáculos is a national cultural organization in Uruguay, controlled by the Ministry of Education and Culture, established in 1929. It was formerly the national broadcaster of Uruguay prior to the separation of Radiodifusión Nacional del Uruguay as a distinct agency in 2015.
The National Children's Choir was re-launched in July 2016, and is made up of 120 choir members between the ages of 6 and 15. The group's first concert was held in Solís de Mataojo, Lavalleja Department.
Today, June 8, Houston Boychoir had the opportunity to work with them and to spend some time learning about them at the end of the workshop.
