Jayne Fowler has been a part of the choir since 1988 when she brought her son Matt for his audition for the Preparatory Choir. She has served as a volunteer for: wardrobe, fundraising, program ads, hospitality, and chaperone for tours and workshops. She is on the board of Houston Boychoir Inc. and serving as secretary. Mrs. Fowler taught kindergarten through 3rd grade for 37 years, mostly in Montessori Schools both public and private. In addition to all the lives she has touched through teaching, Jayne and her husband have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren, one of whom sings in the Preparatory Choir this year. A quote from an early concert program expresses her feelings about HBC from the standpoint of volunteer parent, board member and staff who are, “dedicated to those who have shared the unique experience of having been a Singing Boy. May there be many more.”
